The village pub, appropriately called, The Miner’s Arms, has B&B accommodation and a car/cycle charging point. The owners of the nearby Overwater restaurant pride themselves on offering a warm and friendly welcome to fellow food lovers (booking essential). 

Nenthead is about four miles east of the town of Alston and its facilities.

As well as The Hive, Nenthead is well served by its Community shop and Post Office, the village hall and St John’s Church. For two-wheeled visitors, North Pennine Cycles offers a stop-off to re-stock supplies and with on-the-spot repairs and servicing.
